THE third Wirral Golf Classic attracted an international field to compete over four of the area’s top courses.
Dutch, German and South African competitors lined up against players from across Great Britain and Ireland to tackle the links at Caldy, Heswall, Royal Liverpool and Wallasey.
The winner was Alan Heard, from Sitwell Park in Rotherham, with a total of 142 Stableford points.
The women’s event was won by Femke Croes from Duinzicht, in Holland, with 141 points.
The event was supported by local bars and restaurants Frankies, The Portrait House, The Wro and Sheldrakes while the Thornton Hall Hotel hosted a welcome drinks reception at the start of the week. The event was also supported by Wirral Council, National Club Golfer and Titleist.
