West Hartlepool 25-30 Waterloo

FIRWOOD WATERLOO moved seven points clear of the National Three North relegation zone following a 25-30 win at West Hartlepool.

An interception by Dan King with James O'Brien up in support for a try converted by Liam Reeve brought up the first but two penalties from Stuart Waite and a try by Adam Coates gave the home side the lead, increased to 18-7 following a try from Andrew Davies also converted by Waite. Reeve closed the gap with a penalty but just before the break West Hartlepool went further ahead with a try from Luke Watson converted by Waite for 25-10 at half time.

Firwood Waterloo had much the better of the second period, two penalties from Reeve reducing the deficit.

Alix Croft was driven over for the second also converted by Reeve with a pin point cross kick from the outside half collected by King giving the visitors the lead, Reeve's conversion sealing the win. Firwood Waterloo have no game this Saturday but return to action at home to Burnage on December 8.
