EUROPEAN Challenge Tour player Phil Archer finished second when the 1836 Tour visited Wychwood Park for a winter pro-am.
The Birchwood player was round the Crewe course in 73, three shots behind winner David Corsby (Fleetwood).
THE Golf Foundation is calling on supporters of grass roots junior golf to nominate deserving recipients for its Presidents’ Awards.
Volunteers of all ages, PGA professionals, teachers, sports development workers, administrators, sport partnerships and local authorities are among those who can be nominated for nine awards in all. The closing date for nominations is January 31, and any golfer can take part in the process.
