Formby Hall plays host to rising stars of England Golf

ENGLAND’S up and coming young golfers have been busy honing their skills on Merseyside.

Some of the country’s most promising players have been taking advantage of the facilities on offer at Formby Hall’s Golf Academy.

England Golf’s elite under 18 squad – including 2012 English Amateur Champion Harry Ellis – spent three days at the club with manager Derek Hughes.

Mark Williams, Golf Manager at Formby Hall, said: “This is a huge honour to host this group of England’s best golfing talent.”

The squad also spent time working with European Tour putting coach Phil Kenyon and former European Tour player Paul Eales.

Kenyon runs his putting studio from the Golf Academy and includes Tour pros Henrik Stenson, Eduardo Molinari and Thomas Bjorn among his clients.
