LIVERPOOL St Helens resume North One West action this weekend with a trip to Altrincham Kersal. The Moss Laners, despite the pre-Christmas defeat to Carlisle, will be looking to continue the decent run of form that sees them in a handy second place.
Games between the two sides have always been closely contested in recent years, none more so than the clash earlier in the season in September when honours were even at Moss Lane as it ended 23-23.
LSH are picking from strength again for the journey to Stelfox Avenue, with Martin Jones believing that there is more to come from his players in the New Year.
He said: “We are looking for better decision making and greater consistency. We have done well so far but we can still be much better.”
His thoughts are echoed by his right hand man Phil Boulton, who wants to see the LSH supporters rewarded with a successful second half of the season.
“The support these lads get is magnificent,” he said. “It is now up to the lads to respond.”
