A SUPERB away win by Waterloo has further consolidated their league position after beating fourth-placed Percy Park 30-17 and as wins go, it was probably the best of the season so far.
The north east side took an early lead with a try from Mike Birkett but after George Partick had fielded a kick under pressure and with Liam Reeve providing the link, James O'Brien went over for the first of his two tries. Reeve added the conversion and as the visitors took control up front, a penalty deep into the Percy Park 22 created the opportunity for Alix Croft to force his way over.
Reeve again added the conversion with a penalty affording Waterloo a 17-5 lead. Reeve increased his side's lead with a second penalty but although Percy Park came back with a try from Phil Morse, a third penalty by Reeve and O'Brien going in for his second after winning the chase following his own kick through to the line, Reeve again adding the extras to seal the win.
This Saturday Waterloo are at home to Penrith
