LSH confident ahead of run-in

DESPITE Saturday’s narrow loss at Vale of Lune there is a spring in the step of LSH.

It is seven weeks since they last played at Moss Lane and when the team arrives for Saturday’s home game against Leigh it’s possible that one or two of them will need pointing in the right direction.

Glad to be back in their own territory, the Moss Laners now face up to seven remaining North One West games. They do so in second place, two points behind Sale and four points ahead of Vale with the race for promotion still wide open, with LSH and Vale having a game in hand of the leaders.

Martin Jones reports that his team are still feeling hard done by for the second time this season in the games against Vale, referring to Saturday’s controversial decision to award the penalty try which turned the game. “But we move on” said Jones. “I was very proud of the lads making their debuts last week but we are now back at the Lane and pretty much back to full strength”.

Last week’s absentees, Mark Williams, Sean Mackin, Phil Kearns, Matt Gaines, Dave Cunliffe and Paul McClindon are all set to return.
