Tranmere Vics in seven-wicket victory over Singlehurst

TRANMERE VICS eased to a seven-wicket victory over visiting Singlehurst to go clear at the top of the Bromborough Paints Merseyside Competition.

Chris Price finished was unbeaten on 41 for the winners while Steve Jamieson scored 71 for the visitors out of a total of 113.

Cheshire Lines enjoyed a six-wicket margin at St Mary’s College Old Boys where Mark Ward returned a 5-4 haul.

Old Xaverians had 18 runs to spare at Maritime. Mark Doyle took 5-27 for the winners and Dave Stanislaus scored 76 for the losers.

Andy Murphy contributed 64 for Hale Park in a draw at Mossley Hill.
