St Mary’s clash with Sutton

BIRKENHEAD ST MARY’S and Sutton will contest the final of the David Kaufman Memorial Trophy later this month.

In the semi-final Birkenhead won by 128 runs at Aigburth where Shakeel Nawaz struck 110.

Sutton got home by four wickets at Parkfield Liscard. Phil Frost hit an unbeaten 60 whilst Simon Murley contributed 80 for the losers.

The Parkfield Liscard second team lifted the Norman Cottham Memorial Trophy with a 38 runs margin against Alder at Birkenhead St Mary’s. Martin Lewis on 69 hit the top score of the day for the winners.

Kaufman Memorial Trophy semi-finals: Aigburth 73, Birkenhead St Mary’s 201-8; Parkfield Liscard 236-7, Sutton 237-6. Cottham Memorial Trophy final: Parkfield Liscard II 160-4 and 116-9 bt Alder II 140-9 and 98 by 38 runs.
