CRICKET’S contrasts will be very evident for some players and spectators this weekend when the two seven-hour struggles for league points on Saturday and Monday sandwich both the Business Assistance Knock-Out semi-finals and the Finals Day of the inaugural Liverpool Competition Junior Twenty20 Cup on Sunday.
The latter event takes place at Northern. The semi-finals of the Under-16 competition will get under way at 10.30am and the last four in the Under-20 cup will battle it out at 1.45pm.
The junior final is scheduled to begin at 2pm and the destiny of the Under-20 trophy will be known after a game which is due to start at 5.15pm.
Seven clubs will be represented with only the hosts being represented in both age-groups.
Northern will be laying on a barbecue throughout the day and a raffle will be held in aid of Liverpool Competition player development.
