THE top three all won in the Bromborough Paints Merseyside and Southport Alliance. Rainford now look the likely champions with Skelmersdale and Norley Hall battling it out for the second promotion spot.

Pravin Tambe hit an unbeaten 48 and also claimed 4-40 whilst Tony Filson finished with 5-40 for Rainford in an eight-wicket home win over Caldy.

Skelmersdale saw off Prescot & Odyssey by 96 runs. Tom Jones reached 99 before being stumped off the last ball going for a century.

Norley accounted for Alder by seven wickets. Andy Hargreaves 75 and Faisal Butt 71 had an unbeaten fourth wicket partnership of 126 while Mohammed Bilal took 5-47.
