THE Right Move Abroad Cheshire County Cricket League will have two umpires on the Minor Counties panel for the first time next season.

Warrington official Alistair Davies, 45, served on the panel last season and will be joined in 2008 by Hyde-based John Lofthouse, 52, formerly a well-known Lancashire and Cheshire League opening batsman with Stalybridge.

Wicket-keeper Mike Bentham will spend the first week under suspension for dissent in the Twenty20 Cup semi-final against Chester Boughton Hall.

The league have also suspended Irby second XI player Andy Hurworth for the first two weeks of the season for misbehaviour.
