RUGBY UNION: The Wirral Floodlit Cup final takes place at New Brighton tonight (7.30pm).
Holders Wallasey who have finished in mid-table in South Lancashire/Cheshire Two face Division Three relegation strugglers Prenton.
The competition this year has been run on a handicap basis. Prenton will receive a 10-point start tonight but it will be a surprise if they can wrest the trophy from the Cross Lane outfit.
Much of the local rugby union action finished last weekend.
