WHITEFIELD cruised to a 10 wicket victory over visiting Singlehurst in the Bromborough Paints Merseyside Competition.
Neil Creamer took 5-28 as Singlehurst were restricted to just 59.
Port Sunlight enjoyed an eight wickets margin against Goodlass with Chris Newton making an unbeaten 82 and John Roberts taking 4-33.
Phil Morgan finished on 83 not out for the losers.
Dave Jackson with 4-16 and Mike Ward 4-34 helped Cheshire Lines account for Maritime by six wickets.
Kevin Heywood with 58 was chief scorer for Old Xaverians who accounted for Hale Park by 64 runs. Andrew Murphy 6-36 and Ian Dutton 4-32 bowled well for Park.
Jim Kelly followed up a 65 knock with 4-34 for St Mary’s College Old Boys who had to be content with a draw at Bromborough. John Dickinson was out one short of his half century for the Old Boys.
The Shaftesbury v Mossley Hill clash finished in a stalemate. Ian Weller made 47 for the Liverpool side.
Runcorn went down by 97 runs at Davenham in Division One of the Meller Braggins Cheshire League after totalling just 64.
Parkonians surprised leaders Kingsley in Division Three with a 79 runs margin. Dave Fletcher took 5-37.
