ALDER moved top of the Bromborough Paints Merseyside and Southport Alliance table with a 68 runs success at Manweb yesterday.
Mohammad Masroor struck 48 for the winners. Suresh Perise had a 7-22 haul for the electric men.
Birkenhead St Mary’s who had led the way crashed to their first defeat at home to Norley Hall. The margin was 159 runs with Hammad Tariq making 67 for the winners.
Caldy shocked Parkfield Liscard with an eight wickets victory. Grant Hughes registered a fine unbeaten 118 for the combined side but Anthony Sams 143 not out and Haroon Khan 88 not out saw Caldy comfortably home.
Khuran Shazzard included fourteen fours and four sixes in his 112 not out for Rainhill who had 107 runs to spare at Tranmere Vics. Shazzard also claimed 4-23 whilst Ben Edmondson contributed 48.
Sutton came away 98 runs to the good from Prescot & Odyssey. Ray Foster 6-36 and Phil Frost 4-21 dismissed the home side for 85.
Burscough gained a seven wickets success at Moorfield and Southport Trinity despatched Haydock by nine wickets. Dave Andrew enjoyed a 6-44 haul for Trinity and the batsmen to star were Wim Van der Walt with 61 not out and Tony Campbell unbeaten on 53.
