“Luckily in the second half we reorganised and were a lot better. We had a few chances to win the game but probably a draw was a fair result.”
He added: “The start of the game and the second half was very positive, but we just had a patch of the game where they controlled the ball better than we did. That is disappointing for us, but you are not going to control every game for 90 minutes and we were okay as opposed to being very good.”
After a good start Everton have stuttered a little in the last two matches and will look to get back to winning ways at Stoke this Saturday (kick- off 11am). Dewsnip said: “The players and the staff like to win and it is a feelgood (factor) when you win. But the main thing is that we will be looking for an improved performance this week. Things haven’t gone well for us the last two weeks and we need to get back to where we were a few weeks ago.”
Danny Redmond was injured in the warm-up before last Saturday’s match and he is struggling to be fit with a twisted ankle. He is a major doubt for the weekend.
