EVERTON FC’s plans to build a new stadium in Kirkby will not face a decision over a “call-in” until at least next week.

Government sources told the Daily Post last night there was a delay holding up the decision.

Baroness Andrews, the Parliamentary under-secretary of state for communities and local government was expected to make an announcement before Parliament goes into recess tomorrow.

A call-in would have massive ramifications for the £400m Tesco-led scheme.
