Moyes said yesterday: “There’s a worry because Louis wasn’t well today but hopefully it’s just a bit of sickness and he’ll be okay.
“I’ll be watching James Vaughan to see how he comes on in training, and a reserve game hopefully (away at Manchester United tomorrow night) this week which could put him in contention as well or in and around the squad.
“Generally it’s a bit early for him but hopefully we’ll see how he is after this week.”
One boost for Everton is the return of Nigerian international defender Joseph Yobo who hasn’t figured since the 3-1 win over Stoke on March 14.
Moyes added: “Joe trained today so hopefully he’s got a chance of being back in the squad.”
