David Moyes 300
Meanwhile, Moyes admits the “rollercoaster of emotions” during Everton’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Manchester Untied last month almost left him in tears. The Goodison outfit eventually won through to Saturday’s final – the club’s first in 14 years – after a nerve-jangling penalty shoot-out.
And asked if he felt like crying on the day, Moyes said: “A few times I’ve felt like it. It was such a big day and a big game for us to win. It was a rollercoaster of emotions.
“I’ve been a supporter of football all my life so I know what it means to be a supporter in the build-up to a big game.
“I think it hit home to me though when we pulled up at Wembley for the semi-final. You could hardly get into the entrance to Wembley because of all the Everton supporters in that area.
“I think that was the first time I thought to myself, this is something really special.
“I hope that gives us good memories and I hope we can do it again.”
