Everton rumour mill: Pompey duel for Cisse, Atleti after Pienaar, Reading duo eyed, Micah Richards swop deal?

Everton and Portsmouth tracking Ivorian striker

It has been reported in Holland today that both Everton and Portsmouth are in the Netherlands today to try and hijack the sale of the Ivorian striker Sekou Cisse from Roda JC to FC Twente.

It was thought that Cisse was going to be moving to Feyenoord but they pulled out of the deal this week due to a shortage of funds, and it was left to Twente to complete the business if they matched Feyenoords price of £2.5m.

But it seems that Portsmouth and Everton are also willing to do business at that price for a very talented dribbler who has an admirable goalscoring record.

He has scored three goals in five games for the Ivory Coast, and has been tipped to do well in the Premiership.
