Everton and Aston Villa are reported to be vying for the signature of Portuguese international right-back Luis Miguel Brito Garcia Monteiro (Miguel for short) this summer.
The 29-year-old was strongly linked to a move to Villa Park last summer but the move failed to materialise. Valencia are heavily in debt to the tune of £400million so are expected to sell many of their stars with Miguel tipped to be one of the first out of the Mestalla.
Keita deal possibility
Everton are eyeing Lyon winger Kader Keita.
French sources say David Moyes is keen on the Ivory Coast international after releasing Andy van der Meyde last week.
Keita, 27, has attracted past interest from city rivals Liverpool.
