The Coventry match will be City stalwart Marcus Hall’s testimonial – and fittingly he scored a rare goal against Everton in the League Cup in 1997.
Hall said: “They have got some terrific players in their side and I am sure they will have a few new signings by the time the game comes around, and hopefully we will as well.
“One of my few career goals has come against Everton – in a League Cup tie many years ago – so they may well decide to call it off when they realise I am so prolific against them!”
Blackpool, meanwhile, recently appointed Ian Holloway as their new manager.
“It’s a big bonus getting Everton lined up and I am grateful to David Moyes for agreeing to come,” he said.
