“He has done really well and we are not too worried about this matter. He has gone about his work really well and it has been pleasing to see.
“He has improved all the time – and improved his fitness.
“He’s got the kind of ability that many players wish for and a lot of managers will vouch for that. We want to see it in abundance.”
Everton will learn their UEFA Europa League fate when the draw for the final qualifying round takes place in Nyon, Switzerland at 12.30pm today.
As a seeded team, Moyes’s men will avoid the likes of last season’s beaten UEFA Cup finalists Werder Bremen, Villarreal, Hamburg, Valencia, Ajax and Benfica.
However, Italian side Genoa, Dinamo Moscow of Russia and Scottish outfit Hearts are among a list of possible opponents that include teams from countries such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Serbia, Bosnia, Romania and Estonia.
The first leg of the ties will take place on Thursday, August 20 with the return match a week later.
In the new-look Europa League – which is effectively a rebranded UEFA Cup – the 48 winners will then be split into groups of four where they will play each other home and away, similar to the Champions League format.
