DERBY County are prepared to give James Vaughan another chance to impress, despite the injured on-loan star having returned to Goodison.
Vaughan last month agreed a temporary move to Pride Park until the end of January but made only two appearances before having to undergo knee surgery on his cartilage that will rule him out for at least six weeks.
But Derby manager Nigel Clough would welcome Vaughan back at the Championship outfit should he regain fitness before his loan agreement expires.
“We’ll see how his rehab goes,” said Clough. “He’s someone we’ll look to bring back in January if he’s fully fit.”
