International break came at good time for Everton FC, says Tony Hibbert

Diniyar Bilyaletdinov is  unavailable for Old Trafford  as he sits out the second of his  three-game  ban following his  sending off against Aston  Villa earlier this month.

The Russia international  netted twice for his country in  the 2-1 first-leg victory of their  World Cup  qualifying play-off  against Slovenia in Moscow.

Bilyaletdinov, who can  expect to start in tomorrow’s  decisive second leg, has been  backed  Russia coach Guus  Hiddink.

Hiddink believes the winger  is unappreciated in his  homeland and points to the  encouraging  start to  Bilyaletdinov’s Everton career  as evidence of his potential.

“I think that Bilyaletdinov  is underestimated in Russia,”  said Hiddink. “Many people in  recent  years believed that he  was a weak player. But in  England, they found out that  he isn’t.

“I would call him a typical  left-footer with an interesting  take on the game. And now  he’s getting  better and better,  so it’s particularly  unfortunate that he’s been  suspended.

“He’s getting used to the  relentless games (in England),  where the game is played at a  high  pace for 90 minutes.”

Hiddink added: “Diniyar  has proved himself for  Everton as a complete  attacking midfielder. I  have  been very happy with him.  Recently, I had several  conversations with David  Moyes and he  is also pleased  with Bill.

“To all his critics, he has  proved that he can not only  make it in a familiar  environment, but also  in the  most competitive conditions.

“All those who considered  him a little slow and weak  have their reply. Diniyar is  regularly scoring  and making  goals in the most  uncompromisingly tough  championship there is.”
