David Moyes
A gruelling schedule of three games in six days last month stretched Everton’s squad to near breaking point and with a midweek trip to Hull City, the Merseyside derby on Sunday followed by the trip to AEK Athens in the Euorpa League early next week, the strength of Everton’s squad will once again be tested.
But Moyes refused to concede European football as a burden on the club and is as determined as ever to secure continental competition for next season.
Moyes added: “Well I don’t want to say that because if you were to give me Europe again now, I would gladly take it thank-you.
“I love to be in Europe but of course it has taken its toll on us because we don’t have the players to change things.
“We are not saying changing the team completely but if you have the opportunity then you would like to swap it around a little bit.
“Well I don’t know about Liverpool’s form, I am looking at Everton and have got to look at us and make sure we do our job right and we can hopefully pick up it up before next week.
“We will try and get a lift off at Hull.”
