EVERTON’S 1962-63 title-winning defender, Alex Parker, has died, aged 74.
Parker, who played 220 times for the Goodison Park outfit scoring five goals, suffered a heart attack and passed away yesterday.
Title-winning team-mate, Derek Temple, said: “Alex wasn’t just a smashing player, he was a great colleague and a genuine gentleman. He will be sadly missed and all our sympathy is with the family.”
