The only highlight on Saturday was the sight of the little Spaniard looking remarkably sprightly given he’s been out of the game for almost a year. Hopefully the rest of the team can up their game a bit so that he can be reintroduced to the Premier League steadily, and not constantly thrown on to try and dig us out of a hole.
It’s great to see him back on the pitch though, and just another indicator that we should be looking at a stronger second half to the campaign.
There’s also the intriguing prospect of signing another striker too, with the rather contrasting figures of Jermaine Beckford and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar strongly linked this week.
It’s certainly never dull at the moment.
