Everton FC manager David Moyes: Louis Saha’s work of art can kickstart our season (VIDEO)

DAVID MOYES believes Louis Saha’s “work of art” against Fulham can prove a catalyst for both the striker’s and Everton’s season.

Saha ended a seven-month goal drought on Sunday by coming off the bench to net a dramatic injury-time goal to help the Goodison outfit towards a 3-1 victory.

The Frenchman is now pressing for a start in this evening’s mouthwatering Carling Cup fourth round clash at home to Chelsea.

And Moyes believes the trademark Saha strike at Craven Cottage was a sign the 33-year-old is returning back to his sharp best.

“I think it will help him a lot,” said the Everton manager. “I don’t know what you’d call a typical Louis goal but it was nearly one.

“It had that speed off the mark, he knocked it just a yard or two ahead of the defender, took another touch and then finished it. It was the sort of goal you expected from him and that speed.

“When he’s in that sort of motion and like that – it’s like a work of art. It’s like a beauty.

“He’s still athletic in those moments and he shows that.”
