FRENCH-based trainer Richard Gibson is expecting Doctor Dino to justify connections supplementing him for the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket this Saturday.
The five-year-old was added to the field of the Group One 1m2f contest for a fee of £24,000 after his Grade One win in the Man O’War Stakes at Belmont last month.
Godolphin also added Creachadoir to the field which will have a maximum of 14 runners.
But Gibson said of Doctor Dino: “The horse is really well and we think conditions will suit him. Obviously we are keeping an eye on the weather, but early indications are that it’s unlikely to be soft.
“He’s had a good season and any form linked into Dylan Thomas is encouraging.
“To be competitive in Group Ones on both sides of the world is pretty unique. He is an experienced, mature horse and he can handle travelling.”
