THE TOTE will become the official betting partner for this year’s John Smith’s Grand National meeting at Aintree between April 3-5.
The one-year deal, with an option of an extension for a further two years, includes the sponsorship of two races – the £160,000 totesport Bowl run on the opening day of three-day meeting on Thursday, April 3 and the £60,000 totepool Handicap Chase run on the Friday, Ladies Day.
Part of the sponsorship deal with include totesport customers being entitled to a special admission offer for the Grand National meeting.
Aintree’s managing director Julian Thick said: “Aintree has always had a terrific relationship with the tote and we are delighted to have them on board for the 2008 John Smith’s National meeting.
“The tote is already the main sponsor at our Becher Chase meeting in November and this new agreement strengthens the link between us.”
