IMPRESSIVE Leopardstown scorer Casual Conquest may still be supplemented for the Vodafone Derby, if trainer Dermot Weld wants to.
Connections of the Hernando colt insist they would fork out the £75,000 needed to add him to the Epsom line-up.
Casual Conquest was a six-length winner of Sunday’s Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial at Leopardstown and is currently a best-priced 6-1 with William Hill and Skybet.
With Casual Contest not entered at Epsom, Weld is looking to head for the French or Irish Derby.
But Stan Cosgrove, the manager of his owners Moyglare Stud Farm, said: “He still has his options open and it’s a possibility to go to Epsom, but he’s just had the two runs and he might just be a little inexperienced.
“We’ll see how everything goes for a while – we only need to supplement him four days before the race.”
He added: “He annihilated them. He’s a great big horse and that was only his first run of the year.
“It’s really up to the trainer and the jockey (to make a decision about supplementing). Regarding the money, there’s no problem with that.”
