PIPEDREAMER is likely to head for another bid to land the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes after his victory at Longchamp on Saturday.
John Gosden’s five-year-old finished seventh to New Approach in last year’s running of the Group One contest at Newmarket.
And on his return to the race-track after a four-month break Pipedreamer landed the Prix Dollar at the weekend.
The entire’s owners Cheveley Park Stud and trainer Gosden could also rely on on Virtual in the mile and a quarter event at Headquarters a week on Saturday.
But Cheveley Park’s managing director Chris Richardson said: “It was fantastic, really special. John Gosden did a fantastic job in freshening him up and producing him on the day. The plan came together.
“I haven’t spoken to John since he got back from the race. Obviously the Champion Stakes is an option, which we are considering along with Virtual.
“We will wait until things settle down and then we can decide what we are going to run, both or whatever.”
Pipedreamer is currently a 6-1 chance with Stan James and Paddy Power for the Champion Stakes behind current favourite Zacinto – who is 5-2 with the latter firm.
