Trainer Clive Brittain hails star fillies Zenyatta and Goldikova after Breeders’ Cup victories

CLIVE BRITTAIN hailed wonder fillies Zenyatta and Goldikova following their stunning successes against the colts in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and Mile respectively on Saturday night.

The Newmarket trainer sent Pebbles to become the first British raider to win at the Breeders’ Cup when she landed the Turf at Aqueduct in 1985 and he said: “Zenyatta’s was a very exciting race. She must be an exceptional filly to take on the colts. When you get a very good one, they can do it.

“They have to be good. I’ve been lucky enough to have three fillies who could do it – Sayyedati, User Friendly and Pebbles. They were exception-ally good fillies.

“Goldikova is another really good filly.”
