THE Daily Post's racing correspondent Chris Wright napped 50-1 winner Heddwyn in the 4.50pm at Windsor yesterday.
Ridden by Liverpool jockey Martin Dwyer, the Marcus Tregoning-trained debutant landed the Attheraces.com Maiden Stakes at the Berkshire track, beating the well-backed Henry Cecil's Protaras (5-2).
Dwyer weaved his way through the field to land the 1m2f contest by a head.
The Derby-winning jockey said: “He's big, weak and green and didn't really handle the track but he still had the ability to win.”
With the winning 50-1 nap Chris has shot up the Racing Post/Coral Naps Competition table.
He is now in third place with a level stakes profit for the season of £20.21.
The current Jumps competition finishes a week on Friday. The current leading tipster is Downsman from the Sussex Express who has profit of £37.37, with Derek Brown from the Coventry Telegraph on £36.76 in second. Follow Chris's tips over the next 11 days in the Daily Post to see if he can catch the leading pair and win the Racing Post Challenge Cup.
Today's nap is the Richard Fahey-trained Harrison George in the 3.20pm at Pontefract.
