AINTREE’S new jump racing season begins a week on Saturday. And the Liverpool Daily Post are offering readers the chance to be at the two-day meeting.
We have teamed up with Aintree Racecourse to offer three pairs of weekend tickets for the meeting on Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24 in our superb competition.
The opening day is Aintree’s only Saturday raceday outside of the John Smith’s Grand National meeting with seven exciting races including the £60,000 totescoop6 Grade Two Old Roan Chase, which was won last year by Aintree specialist Monet’s Garden – his fourth win at the track – and also featured 2010 Grand National winner Don’t Push It.
The day’s sports matches will also be shown in a dedicated sports lounge.
Racegoers attending on this day can also enjoy a complimentary post race drink at Alma de Cuba on production of their race ticket.
Sunday will see the return of Matalan’s Freaky Family Funday, where racing is teamed with a day of free themed Halloween entertainment for all ages, including a Mad Science workshop and slime making stations, face painting, fancy dress competitions and magic shows.
There’ll also be pony grooming and free pony rides for the children in Aintree’s International Equestrian Centre.
Admission for children aged 17 and under is free for the whole weekend and ‘early-bird’ tickets are now available at a special advance price of £16 (standard general admission price usually £19 after October 21).
General admission tickets give race-goers access to all public areas, including Aintree’s unreserved grandstand seats.
Tickets can be purchased now by booking online at aintree.co.uk or by calling the ticket hotline on 0844 579 3001.
Great deals on hospitality packages are also available within the Princess Royal Restaurant, where kids eat free and hospitality is available from just £50 per person, inclusive of admission badge, a set menu and racecards, call 0151 522 2911 to find out more.
Gates open at 11am each day. First race is at 2.10pm on both days, with the last race at 5.40pm on Saturday and at 5.05pm on Sunday.
