I'll prove myself to Dragons fans

"We've got a good bunch of lads and they've made it easy for me to settle.

"I'm still based in Liverpool and Wrexham's other strikers - Jonathan Walters and Lee McEvilly - are both Scousers so there's a good craic between us.

"I'm finding the football is really different, but it's the next step up for me after playing in the reserves."

A lot has changed for Foy since he first moved from his native Scotland to Merseyside five years ago, but with time still on his side, he believes his years at Anfield were a worthwhile experience.

He said: "I was scouted by Liverpool when I was 14 and had the pick of the big teams like Manchester United and Arsenal all wanting to sign me.

"I was playing for Hibernian at the time and spoke to several clubs before deciding to go to Liverpool.

"I'd assess my time at Anfield so far as a success. It's been a learning curve but I'm confident in my ability and think that I've still got a lot to offer."
