1: 69th minute v Sheff Wed 4-1 (Home, Premier League December 5 1999: THE then 19-year-old Gerrard slaloms his way past the Wednesday defence towards the Anfield Road end goal before coolly slotting home Liverpool’s third goal on the day and his first in a red shirt.
2: 12th minute v West Ham 1-1 (Away, Premier League, September 17 2000): GERRARD has to wait nine months after his first goal for his second. Nick Barmby went on a run down the left and passed to Danny Murphy and from his low, early cross Gerrard slid in at the back post to open the scoring.
3: 50th minute v Coventry 4-1 (Home, Premier League, November 12 2000): GARY McALLISTER launched a free-kick into the six-yard box early in the second half and Gerrard powered home a header.
4: 67th minute v Olympiakos 2-2 (Away, UEFA Cup, November 23 2000): GERRARD scored his first goal in Europe for Liverpool, giving Gerard Houllier’s side the lead for a second time in the UEFA Cup first leg match. The midfielder glanced in a header from Steve Staunton’s corner.
5: 11th v Arsenal 4-0 (Home, Premier League, December 23 2000): AFTER a corner from Gary McAllister is only half-cleared Gerrard latched onto the loose ball just outside the area to fire in low on the half volley.
6: 12th minute v Southampton 2-1 (Home, Premier League, January 1 2001): GERRARD picked the ball up in midfield and advanced towards the Kop goal before firing in an unerring strike from 35 yards which arrowed in off the crossbar.
7: 32th minute v Aston Villa 3-0 (Away, Premier League, January 13 2001): A STUNNING passing move started and finished by Gerrard. He laid it off to Jari Litmanen by the centre circle, and the Finnish striker played the ball into Danny Murphy, who in turn ferried the ball onto Gerrard, who had continued his run and lashed a shot from the edge of the area into the top corner.
8: 52th minute v Tranmere 4-2 (Away, FA Cup, March 11 2001): Gerrard scored Liverpool’s third goal and his first in the FA Cup when he made no mistake from six yards out after Markus Babbel had headed on Gary McAllister’s floated corner.
9: 15th minute v Manchester United 2-0 (Home, Premier League, March 31 2001): FROM Robbie Fowler’ flicked pass inside, Gerrard took it in his stride and belted a rising shot into the top corner.
10: 54th minute Leeds United 1-2 (Home, Premier League, March 4 2001): GERRARD scored Liverpool’s 100th goal of a trophy-laden campaign. Jamie Carragher put Michael Owen in on the left-hand side and the incoming Gerrard met his cross with a cool finish.
