LFC RUMOUR MILL: Turner and Owen to Anfield?, Madrid link over? Pennant exit?

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Hull City centre-half Michael Turner as they plan a long-term successor to Sami Hyypia, according to The People newspaper.

They could make a move for him next month or wait until the end of the season. Turner - a shrewd capture from Brentford - has starred for Phil Brown's Tigers side and would command a huge fee if Liverpool decide he is the man to eventually replace 35-year-old Hyypia.

RUMOUR RATING: One star. Hull have had a great start to the season and gave Liverpool a shock at Anfield but Turner doesn't seem like your typical Benitez signing and will have to prove his class in the Premier League over a longer period.
