Liverpool are confident both Sami Hyypia and Yossi Benayoun will be available for the trip to Craven Cottage tomorrow evening.
Hyypia’s knee injury is not as bad as first feared while Benayoun emerged unscathed from a substitute appearance for Israel in their 2-1 defeat in Greece on Wednesday.
And with no further international breaks until June, Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard believes the Anfield outfit can now devote 100% of their concentration and energies on their quest for Premier League and Champions League glory.
“The good thing now is that we can put the internationals to the back of our minds and just concentrate on the run-in,” said Gerrard.
“The last three weeks have been among the most enjoyable in my Liverpool career and we want to keep that momentum going.
“We know that it is going to be difficult at Craven Cottage. They are a team that deserves respect; just look at what they did against Manchester United.
“Maybe because they don’t have as many internationals as us, they might be fresher than us. We know they will be up for it, they are chasing a European place so there is something riding on this game for them.”
