PEPE REINA has spoken for all Liverpool fans by declaring he is desperate for Barcelona to stop Manchester United retaining their Champions League crown.
Reina’s former club will take on the Old Trafford outfit in the final in Rome next Wednesday.
The goalkeeper tried unsuccessfully to stop United claiming their third successive Premier League crown and moving alongside Liverpool’s record 18 league championships.
As well as the title, United have already won the Community Shield, the Carling Cup and the World Club Championship.
Victory for United next week would also make Sir Alex Ferguson only the second manager to win three European Cups, following in the footsteps of Liverpool legend Bob Paisley.
And Reina said: “I don’t want to see our greatest rivals winning another title.”
Despite the title disappointment, Reina has been on the winning side against United twice this season.
