Liverpool “seriously interested” in £6m Juventus defender
The agent of the Juventus left-back Paolo De Ceglie has announced that Liverpool are trying to sign his client.
The versatile 22 year-old only broke into the Juventus first team this season and has made 23 appearances, but is rated as one of the best young defenders in Italy.
He hasn’t yet been picked for the full Italy team, but was in the U23 squad that played at the Beijing Olympics last year, and is expected to step up to the senior side shortly.
De Ceglie’s agent, Carlo Pallavicino said: “Liverpool are seriously interested, it all depends on Andrea Dossena and whether they will sell him. If they do then they would like to replace him with De Ceglie.”
