Negi is proving to be a star performer for Wavertree

NARENDER NEGI continues to shine for high-flying Wavertree in the Bromborough Paints Merseyside and Southport Alliance.

His latest stint brought a knock of 67 and a 4-30 return and he hopes to continue the good work away to Huyton tomorrow.

Huyton have a double bill with a delayed Kaufman Trophy clash against visiting Caldy on Sunday. Prescot & Odyssey also play in the cup at home to Alder.

After 10 weeks of action no club has emerged as a clear favourite for the title but Wavertree look to have a good chance of a quick return to the Liverpool Competition.

Alder and Whitefield are among those in the top half of the table.

Alder hope to maintain their improved batting form away to Maritime and will do so if Kenny Highdale builds on his unbeaten 113 last weekend.
