England send India crashing out

England kept their own World Twenty20 hopes alive and knocked holders India out of the competition with a thrilling three-run victory at Lord's.

Paul Collingwood's team produced a composed display to defend their score of 153 for seven.

Recalled left-armer Ryan Sidebottom claimed two wickets with the new ball but it was wicketkeeper James Foster's brilliant stumping of Yuvraj Singh which proved the pivotal moment. Yuvraj struck two sixes in his rapid 17, including one from the first ball he received, before lifting his foot to disastrous consequences against off-spinner Graeme Swann which led to the holders' downfall.
