ACADEMY FOOTBALL: Sunderland prove too strong for Liverpool under-18s

Liverpool face a tough task this weekend when they take on last season’s north west section winners Manchester City at the Kirkby Academy (kick-off 12.30pm).

With results and performances a bit hit and miss Liverpool will have to be at their best against one of their strongest rivals.

Liverpool will check on Dalle Valle to see if is able to return and provide a cutting edge.

LIVERPOOL UNDER-18s: Chamberlain, Flanagan, Wisdom, McGiveron, Robinson; Dawson (Adorjan 45), Coady, Ihiekwe (Silva 51), Ince (Ellison 56), Roberts, Ngoo. Subs: Oldfield, Sama.
