“It is a very important game in the Premier League, against a very strong side, and we have to recover from this result straight away and have the confidence we can do a good job again.
“We have to show the real Liverpool on Sunday.
“In the Premier League we know there’s a long run and we have to fight really hard to take the points.
“It’s important to get something against the top sides.
“We are scoring more goals at the moment but you always need to keep improving if you want to win trophies.
“At the moment we are conceding too much space and we need to keep working hard on that to get better and put it right.”
Benitez is confident Javier Mascherano will be available for the weekend after missing the trip to Italy having suffered a minor hamstring injury during training.
