We will look after Fernando Torres says Vicente Del Bosque - Liverpool FC latest

SPAIN coach Vicente Del Bosque has allayed fears over the extent of Liverpool striker Fernando Torres’ injury.

The 25-year-old was substituted after 54 minutes of his country’s 2010 World Cup Qualifying win in Armenia but Spanish coach Del Bosque moved to calm any anxiety the Anfield supporters, and manager Rafael Benitez, may have been suffering.

Torres’ substitution looks like being a precautionary move on Spain’s part and now Del Bosque has reassured Benitez his top scorer will be taken care of.

A match against Bosnia tomorrow is next for Spain before Liverpool travel to Sunderland on Saturday in the Premier League.

Del Bosque said: “Torres is in very good hands here.

“Sunday he stayed at the hotel and did not train because we went to a pitch in which there was no stretcher.

“He stayed at the hotel with the physios.
