A NEW trial date has been fixed for former Liverpool footballer Dietmar Hamann, who is accused of drink driving.
The hearing was scheduled to take place at Trafford Magistrates’ Court, but District Judge Wendy Lloyd ruled the case was not ready as evidence still needed to be analysed,
Hamann, 36, of Styal, Cheshire, was stopped by police at 12.15am on July 12 this year at Junction Six of the M56.
The former Germany international pleaded not guilty to the charge at an earlier hearing.
