Dirk Kuyt _300
Following the weekend’s 2-0 triumph, Liverpool now have a record of six league games unbeaten and Kuyt believes his side have finally shook off the poor form from earlier in the season which saw them dumped out of the Champions League and effectively out of the running in the title race.
“I think so”, said Kuyt. “I think a few weeks ago we would have lost the Wolves game but we kept a clean sheet, recovered to beat Bolton and kept another clean sheet. Things are definitely changing at the moment but we have to keep going.
“We cannot afford to relax and think we have turned it around completely. It is a relief (to be scoring again) but the main thing is the team is playing better now and so my own performances will improve. If you asked all the players if they were satisfied with their performances in the first half of the season I don’t think anyone would say they were happy.
“If you looked at where we were in the table, and have just been kicked out of the Champions League, then you cannot be happy.
“We had to work very hard to improve.”
