“He is a serious manager, but he is also an approachable manager. You can talk to him and his advice is excellent.”
Of 40-year-old Weir, Wilson added: “Davie has been brilliant with me. He is so calm on the field and you learn so much from training and playing beside him.
“Even during games, he never shouts or loses his composure.
“If you make a mistake then you know you have and that is still the case for someone as young as me.
“He is always constructive and I can’t thank him enough.”
